The friendly folks at Beaver Creek Hiking Center are on hand to recommend local trails for you and the kids in the summer months. Better yet, join the knowledgeable guides for a group hike. Kids are welcome during the complimentary guided nature loop at the top of the Centennial Express lift, or book a private guide to take the whole family on an easy hike through aspen groves along on-mountain trails. Older ‘tweens and teens might appreciate longer adventure hikes or even a trek up their first Colorado 14er (a 14,000-foot peak). All guided hikes include the use of day-packs and boots, hiking poles, rain gear, bottled water and granola bars. For a fee, you can have the Hiking Center pack a picnic lunch for you, and you can rent child-carriers, too.
