The Baylor University Bears aren’t just a clever mascot – they are actual living American Black Bears that take up residence at this campus, along with the college students (one may wonder which species is tidier).
Since 1917, the university has been home to several live bears. The current residents are sisters Joy and Lady, and their habitat (technically a Class C zoo) is considered to be the most visited place on campus. You can visit them and grab some Bears merchandise any day of the week.
