Sure, it’s extremely touristy to be transported around an ancient city on a bright red train, but your littlest gods and goddesses will get a kick out of this mode of Greek transportation. The Athens Happy Train serves as a simple, cheap way to get a quick lay of the land around the Plaka neighborhood and the Acropolis. English and Greek narration is provided.

For just a few euro, your family will be shuttled around the most famous parts of Athens on a hop-on/hop-off ‘train’ on wheels.
