This arboretum opened in 1991 and boasts 100 acres of year-round color and plants. There are year-round activities in the visitor center for the entire family. The gardens include a children’s garden. The grounds are open daily from dawn until dusk for exploring (except for days of UK Home Football Games).

The Dorotha Smith Oatts Visitor Center is open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
