Grenada’s Annandale Falls is located close to St. George’s. It is a stunning display of lush vegetation, botanicals, waterfalls, pools, steams and hiking trails. As you ascend to the falls, you will be greeted with Calypso music, trinkets and goodies by the locals for purchase and a surprise at the end.
Located in the rain forest, families need not be intimidated by the hike; it’s quite mild and is about 10 minutes to the waterfall from the trailhead. There are locals situated at the falls that will jump for you from high ledges above the forest floor; it’s mighty impressive. This is not an option for visitors; rather they can jump off a much smaller and lower platform close to the trail.
The path to the falls is paved, and the scenery worth many photos.
