The fun at Chestnut Mountain doesn’t end in the winter. Kids will love careening down the mountain in the warmer months on the 2,000-foot-long Alpine Slide. The ride down provides breathtaking views of the mighty Mississippi River below, as well as the surrounding three states — Illinois, Iowa, directly across the Mississippi, and Wisconsin, off in the distance. Getting back up the mountain is easy — just hop on the ski lift!
Children under 48 inches tall and 7 years old must ride with an adult. Tickets are $8 per ride for an adult and $7 for kids under 12. Unlimited rides cost $25 on weekdays, and $30 on weekends for both adults and kids.
