Alpine Mountain, located in Henryville, Pa., is big enough for the experienced skiers or snowboarders, but also small enough for those just learning. The mountain is a whopping 120 acres with a 500-foot vertical drop, and has 21 trails, six snow tubing chutes and a lighted half-pipe for the tricksters that want to carve some sweet turns and maybe even do some flips. Parents can unwind from the busy day over a cocktail at the BYOB lounge while their kiddies munch on some yummy eats in the cafeteria. Go “home” to one of the many lodges located nearby to rest up before yet another day of active fun.
