The first planetarium opened to the public in America, the Adler is one of three family-friendly institutions located in Chicago’s famed Museum Campus. The planetarium features exhibits on our Solar System, Hidden Wonders, Astronomy in Culture and Shoot for the Moon. A special section is dedicated to telescopes, and kids can get a look at the night sky through a number of programs at the Grainger Sky Theater and the Definiti Space Theater. The Samuel C. Johnson Family Star Theater provides a 3D look for its shows.
