A Carousel for Missoula took its first spin in 1995, following four years and more than 100,000 hours of volunteer work. Now, families flock to it each and every day for some good old-fashioned family fun. The carousel consists of 38 permanent ponies, two chariots, and 14 gargoyles — all personally handcrafted and designed by various members of the community.
Dragon Hollow Playground opened right next to the carousel in the spring of 2001, and features dips, spins, and turns for little ones to engage in.
