One of the most affordable hotels in Aspen was once a B&B and conveniently located next to the skier shuttles (all free). Each of the 38 guestrooms has either two queen beds or one queen bed with a sleeper sofa, as well as mini-fridges. A four-story fireplace occupies the atrium, where family-friendly apres ski is popular, as is the heated outdoor pool.

We stayed one night in August when visiting Aspen, we enjoyed the staying here. Eric and hotel staffs are very friendly, he gave us a lot helpful tips on the touring of Aspen, we left our iPAD in the hotel and he called me and offered to ship to our home, so nice!
The Pros: 1. Room is very clean; 2. Small A/C is an advantage to most with no A/C. 3. Breakfast buffet is in good quality. 4. Great location.
The Cons: parking lot is limited, we were lucky to find the spot and parked, stayed the spot till we checked out.

Our family of 4 just left the Aspen Mountain Lodge after a week-long stay and enjoyed it immensely! While our days were filled with seeing the beautiful areas near Aspen, hiking, sightseeing, and whitewater rafting, we looked forward to returning to our friendly lodge with great hot tub and the best hotel continental breakfast ever!
The manager and staff were very accommodating, and helpful with tourist advice. The lodge is well maintained and very clean, with lots of local publications and information on local attractions. Daily newspapers are provided in the breakfast area. Be sure to meet Wylie, the cute lil' house dog!
