Nearly six months ago, a group of long-time friends (30+ years) planned a long weekend getaway to the Biltmore. We chose this location based on previous visits. We were particularly looking forward to the large pool, beautiful grounds and spa.
The bad news -- upon checking in we learned the largest pool and spa was under renovation and there is significant construction happening on property. This was incredibly disappointing. There was no mention of construction on the web site or in any email correspondence. Had this information been provided we likely would have booked elsewhere.
The good news -- the manager was very apologetic when we brought forth our complaints and went above and beyond to try to compensate. His efforts were greatly appreciated but in the end, we did not have the pool/spa weekend we anticipated.
This was a matter of the corporation failing to properly communicate to potential guests and misrepresenting the resort.
When looking at the property, be sure to ask about construction and amenity availability. I'm sure the renovations will be wonderful when they are complete - predicted timing is Spring 2020.

It had been several years since i stayed here and i was looking forward to returning.
The staff is very freindly and helpful.
The resort is amazing and the grounds are beautiful.
My room was very clean and the bed was comrfortable.
There was not a lot of noise from the hall or other rooms.
The only issue I had was with the gas firepit outside my room. I tried to light it for 2 days before I asked the front desk what i was doing wrong. They told me that someone from the hotel has to lihgt the firepit. It would have been nice if there was a note on the firepit instead of lighting instructions. WHy have instructions if they dont work??? Maybe a note somewhere in the room????
I hope to return to this hotel soon!!!!
