Recognized as one of the best values for your money in Waikiki Beach, this Aqua hotel lies one block from the beach. All rooms and suites have marble bathroom vanities and a lanai (balcony). Aqua features two onsite restaurants: Big Kahuna has a sports and entertainment atmosphere and serves American food, while the China Garden Restaurant offers Cantonese cuisine. Tired of the beach and need something to do? Walk next door to the International Marketplace and explore the crafts and food. Check out what events are showing at the Hawaiian Convention Center.

Family went on a staycation and choose to go Leilow in Waikiki. Looked cool and good location. The shave ice was really good and helped us cool down. The pool was small and intimate and perfect to just hang out. It was what we were looking for. The international marketplace is right there so lots of shopping and food options. Staff of hotel was good and helpful and really nice. The bartendars were not the most helpful and I had to flag them down to get a drink even at slow times. But still overall was decent enough in service.
Cons:
The bed was lopsided. After the first night I woke up the next morning feeling un rested and my back felt sore. But kids were excited and we headed out first thing in the morning and spent the whole day swimming and hanging out in Waikiki. Came back after dinner exhausted and was ready to go to bed. The kids were in bed and when I jumped in the bed I realized the left side was lower than the right side. I asked my wife to jump on the bed and she said it was lopsided. At that point I was going to call to switch beds but the kids were sleeping so I just slept on the bed and woke up unrested again but we were checking out and going back home.
At this point I probably would have still gave 3 stars since the hotel stay was great, amenities were as expected and the lopsided bed probably minused one star. When I came home I recieved an email on a survey. I participated and expressed how the bed being lopsided was bad and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone else to sleep on. I mentioned in the survey that I wanted to be contacted via email due to the lopsided bed. No one ever responded. If you are going to have me do a survey on my stay and ask for my opinion then at least follow thru and reach out to me. Not sure if hotel manager gets these survey. If they do then I fault them for not getting back to me. If the hotel managers never get the survey then what is the purpose of having us take them.
And because of this I gave a 1 star as this is a service based industry and if Marriott doesn’t take it seriously then they will lose customers because of this.

Everything about The Laylow is beautiful! An unexpected find when searching for boutique hotels in Honolulu, but what a treasure. From the moment I arrived after a long international flight from Australia I was warmly greeted and the staff were exceptional, warm, welcoming and accommodating. This really is something special.
