Great resort and location, with an excellent easy ski in ski out location.
My husband and I were there in a quite time and only 2 cars i the car park and No staff at the hotel made it feel a bit like the Inn in the Shining, LOL.
Strange to have no staff at all, no reception, cleaning, housekeeping, the restaurant in the building obviously not operated for a long time. Dont go here expecting a Hotel, it is very much a Air BNB style DIY place. Even asking you to do your own rubbish at end of stay etc.
Rooms were comfortable but took a long tie to warm up and needed a extra heater we found in the cupboard to warm it up, which was tricky after skiing al day. 2 x small double beds so we actually slept in separate beds, so glad it was only 2 nights. This place as loads of potential but seemed a bit tired, old and unloved.
Great access to mountain though and ski in ski out and ski storage was great.

Our family of four spent Family Day weekend at Apex Mountain Inn. The suite was great. Kids had their own mini hotel room and my husband and I had the kitchenette side complete with wall bed (easy to bring down and take up), electric fireplace that added ambiance but no real heat and all the things to make meals. We partied with a group of friends in the "games room" on the lower level, played hockey on the outdoor rink and skied, snowboarded and hiked. When we left our snowboard behind in error, the staff of the hotel coordinated efforts with SkyRun Vacation Rentals and returned our property back to us promptly and in good condition.
