My husband booked this inn as part of a trip he planned. I didn't know anything about it and found it a delightful surprise. Courtenay is a skilled chef and innkeeper who clearly has a passion for what she does - it shows in all the details.
Our room (Hemenway) was very comfortable and we loved sleeping with the windows open. Luxurious bed & bath linens and products & a great shower (which is often a low point in old properties).
Food - fabulous! Cookies & fruit available and a delicious cooked breakfast.
The gardens are beautiful as well and it is really convenient to walk to restaurants on the main drag of Ludlow

Our third night of Inn to Inn brought us into what I think may have been a charming and quaint village of Ludlow but we were so happy to arrive at The Pettigrew Inn that we never left to explore Ludlow. As a family of ten hiking together, we were pleased to have the inn to ourselves for dinner and we really enjoyed the ambiance of the well manicured yard before and after dinner. Our rooms were beautiful, comfortable (my daughter wanted to order the same mattress/springs set), showers and jacuzzis excellent. We were accommodated
in a multitude of ways to make our trip special and each of us feel pampered.
Meals were delicious and such a treat! The waffles for breakfast deserved a magazine cover shot!
Chocolate chip cookies stole the show!
We were dropped at a monastery to begin our third hike which was very interesting. Later we passed Kinhaven Music School. The village of Weston was a gem. There is a great itinerary each day!
