Visitors and locals alike praise this regal historic hotel, where movie stars, singers, and presidents have stayed. The location, near museums, restaurants, and downtown strolling, can’t be beat, and a covered Skywalk means you can get to where you want to go, rain or shine. This elegant hotel features standard rooms with a king bed or two queen beds, and large luxury suites. Rooms are supplied with sumptuous bedding, 42-inch, high definition TV’s, coffee makers, writing desks and stunning views of the river or downtown Grand Rapids. The hotel also boasts a gorgeous pool with two hot tubs, a racquetball court, and lighted outdoor basketball and tennis courts (in season).

We enjoy staying there every year for a medical convention. It does help that the convention is at this hotel. But we would choose to stay here even if it wasn't at this hotel. We appreciate it is close to everything

Historic Amway hotel, grand lobby areas, gift shop, and few restaurants. I stayed in historic building. Room was nice with view of city. Some have views of the River. The bathroom was beyond tiny, but efficient if you were one person in the room. Quiet rooms, which is not typical for historic buildings. Hilton Honors breakfast was a plus, very extensive buffet. Gave you entire buffet instead of standard continental breakfast.
