Overview

Situated on picturesque Magazia Beach, the Amos Hotel is one of Crete’s most beautiful hotels. Accommodations sleep four adults comfortably with room for a child’s crib or small cot. The rooms feature a modern, whitewashed décor, flat screen satellite televisions, air conditioning, and private balconies with sweeping Aegean Sea views. Breakfast is served daily and consists of locally sourced cheeses and honey, along with handmade pies and jams. Kids will enjoy splashing in the surf, swimming at the pool and learning to snorkel. There is also a library onsite for rainy days.

One of a kind

Having just returned from our 6th visit to Ammos during the past 12 years we are happy to say that other than some decorative and design changes (chairs ????) not much has changed, which is a good thing as the hotel is pretty much perfect as it is. The hotel welcomes children at all times and to see and hear children having fun brings a bit "life' to the holiday, you only have to look at one or two other hotels on the beach to see how "peaceful" a "no children" hotel is. As always it was a wonderful holiday at a truly unique hotel.

Excellent food, service and location

In short: We loved it.

Its a perfect hotel for a beach vacation. We spent most days on the beach and therefore had lunch at the hotel almost every day. Food is high quality. All of the staff are very friendly and service-minded. The kind that you will miss once you leave.

The city of Chania is just a short taxi ride away. We spent some nights having dinner in the city, some at the hotel.

The only downside: there are quite a few families with small children/babies, so if you plan to sleep in this may not be the perfect place for you.
