The Amigo Motor Lodge is a newly renovated boutique motel built 60 years ago. Now, it contains modern furnishings that speak to Southwestern style. The property has regional elements such as a teepee, hot tub, sunroom and more as the hotel continues to be built out. The prices for king rooms are based on double occupancy (traveling with additional children is fine). If available, you can rent a rollaway bed for $15 per night to allow for one more adult in the king room. Double queen rooms can sleep four adults, with the option to add a rollaway bed for $15 a night. There is plenty of parking and the location is near food and shops.

We stayed here once, we were in the regular rooms before they had the airstreams. When we went to book this time we saw they added the airstreams. What a fun way to do a Hotel visit! We had our dog with us and stayed in the Merle. It fit 2people and 1 dog just fine. Bathrooms are in the building takes 30sec to walk to. They are clean and you have the whole room to yourself so it’s not like you have to sit next to someone on the toilet. ;) the TV plays dvds so we watched some old movies and loved it ;) the best part is the deck that’s is attached as it adds a little hang out area. We ordered pizza from amigas and drank beer under the porch lights. Bed was very comfortable and we slept well, actually a lot less noisy than I had imagined. Can’t recommend this hotel and the airstreams enough for a fun memorable visit!

This place is by far the cutest little hotel I’ve ever seen. Every detail is well thought out, and the ambiance is so inviting. I love the bohemian touch in all their decor. I’ve been coming to Salida for years, and let me tell you, what they’ve done to what used to be a run-down motel is UNREAL. The airstreams are a great touch! I adore this place.
PS - They actually gave GOOD COFFEE! If you travel a lot like I do, hotel coffee is usually terrible and tasteless, but not here. Way to go, Amigo (and thank you for creamer alternatives!)
