We had a very comfortable 2-night stay at the Amanzi. It's located just off the 101 Freeway and only a couple of blocks from the heart of Downtown Ventura in one direction and the beach in the opposite direction. The room was a good size, with a comfortable king bed, bathroom with a solid shower, and a reliable wi-fi connection. Parking is free and plentiful, as is breakfast in the hotel lobby. While not a luxury hotel, the Amanzi offered everything we needed for a nice weekend in Ventura. Would definitely stay here again the next time we visit the area.

We checked in and had a look around
When we thought there was not much to see,we decided to make our way to the harbour. There we found some new construction going on and we got stuck until a local lady directed us to the Harbor Village where we were fortunate to find the visitors centre. There we were shown a wonderful movie about the Channel Islands and their natural habitat for several species of animals,especially sea lions. We were excited to have found it,because there was an increbible beach there. We also saw a ferry bringing back passengers from touring the islands. Very glad we made it there. On our return,we had complimentary drinks during happy hour,with was fun and relaxing. Rooms were very spacious and updated. A wonderful stay!
