Overview

The Alpenhof Lodge is located in the heart of Mammoth and offers families 58 guestrooms and suites with king and queen beds, with room for up to four guests. Amenities include complimentary bottle water, mini-fridges, flat-screen TV’s, DVD players and free Wi-Fi. Some accommodations include kitchens, too. Ski and snowboard racks are also available for guests after days on the slopes. The Mammoth Mountain Ski Area is just a few minutes from the lodge for winter activities, and outdoor fun, like hiking and biking along June Lake, are easy to enjoy in the area, too. Onsite activities include an outdoor, seasonal pool and a Jacuzzi and sauna. A complimentary Continental breakfast is served daily, but the hotel also has onsite dining for dinner at Petra’s Bistro and Wine Bar, which is open Tuesday through Sunday (closed Monday). Menu items are chosen based on the season, so guest are always enjoying the freshest food.

Nice hotel in the wilderness; simple interior but very friendly. Good for a few days!

Service is very good. Breakfast simple, but good (free of charge).
There is a pub right below the hotel - nice to have a drink.
We would stay there again, but only for a couple of days - not for 1 wee skiing.

My husband and I stayed here 3 nights. We had a King bed room with fireplace. The bedroom was partially separate from the living area with a nice couch and wet bar and fridge. It was very nice and clean, lots of room! Good shower! Surrounded by trees and right across from Mammoth Village. Breakfast was pastries, bread, cereal, meat slices, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, coffee, tea etc..enough for a nice morning start. The staff at breakfast were very nice and helpful. The pub that is part of the place had a great variety of draft beers and food. I would definitely stay here again, the prices are really good for the rooms you get!
