A five-star boutique hotel, the Alchymist is located near Prague Castle in Prague’s Lesser Town district. Formerly a Baroque home, the property was converted in a luxury hotel, tucked away from the noise of the city. Three Family Rooms are available that are spread across two levels with a queen bedroom and bath on the main floor and two twin beds upstairs with a bathroom of its own. The rooms are outfitted with DVD and CD players and Internet access. Suites are also available with multiple bedrooms and fantastic views; some even have large terraces to enjoy. Onsite dining is available at the Aquarius Restaurant, which serves Mediterranean and Italian dishes and offers outdoor seating in warmer months. Grab-and-go coffees and pastries are available at Barocco Vaneziano Café. A spa is also available.

This beautiful hotel was only surpassed by the beautiful people who work there. Luxury at its finest. This hotel is warm, inviting, well-appointed, luxurious in every aspect. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable, turn-down service with handmade chocolates... desk, chairs, sofa are all a thing of beauty. Each evening there is a managers reception with delicious cheeses and fine wines. There is a cocktail lounge for evening drinks. The food is outstanding. I will review the food separately. Unfortunately, I did not have an opportunity to use the spa.

My husband and I stayed at The Alchymist Grand Hotel & Spa for our 30th anniversary. Katerina greeted us upon arrival and assisted in making our stay in Prague a wonderful experience. The staff, amenities (we loved the spa!), breakfast, and beauty of the hotel is definitely worth a 5 star rating!
