We’ve just spent 10 days here and have really enjoyed the warmth and friendliness of the resort. We stayed in a Villa which is spacious and clean. The outside shower which has a door to the en-suite is great as it keeps the mozzies out but gives an authentic feel. There is plenty of storage/wardrobe space and a safe to lock away valuables.

The gardens are beautiful and well maintained.

Breakfast is the usual buffet but fresh and there’s plenty to choose from.

My only concern was there’s not enough shade around the pool and the water is warm so my tip would be to cross the road to the beach. The beers are also not very cold and you’ll get a colder one on the beach.

Jamu spa is exceptional and we had treatments twice during our stay (see my other review).

I would not hesitate to stay again as they’re continuing to upgrade the rooms and villas.

We spent 6 nights in the Alam Villa with plunge pool, and really enjoyed our stay. Great location opposite the beach and easy walks to Kuta or to Garlic & Padma Lanes. Breakfast is limited but delicious and we never left hungry. Yes, the resort is ageing and needs some TLC but the amazing staff more than make up for that. We had a couple of issues with our room which were immediately rectified as soon as staff were advised. Could not fault any of the staff. There are 2 great pools, one with a bar. Highly recommend the Pool Villa. It is huge with a dressing room which leads to a fantastic bathroom with a rainshower. A great bedroom with King Bed and Flat screen TV. Also, has fantastic air conditioning throughout. We loved having a private pool that we could hop in whenever we wanted. Hotel also has it's own Surf school, Money changer and Tour office. Also has a good Italian restaurant out the front. Hotel is set in beautiful gardens with many water features and a friendly squirrel that says hello a breakfast.
