I booked this place due to rhe reviews - i knew it was for me and I made no mistake! Loved it from the start. I had the back room overlooking the creek and forest and it was exactly what I wanted. Birds, squirrels, lots of roosters! Ari and Aji are super lovely. Its a little bit of a walk to the main part of Ubud but the homestay is in a quiet lane and theres a couple of small lanes between Jl Hanoman and Jl Sukma where you can avoid the main street when walking to and fro. Felt very homey. Loved it!!!

I had a delightful stay at Aji Lodge Bungalows. The very first night I arrived, Bapak Aji took me to a wonderful traditional show, just a short walk away from the lodge. I felt immediately immersed in this fascinating world. We also visited a nearby palace and Aji explained everything, about it. Aji very generously shares his love and knowledge of the cultural traditions. He also kindly took us to a beautiful full moon religious festival. I Ioved my room with the sunny outside terrace. It was attractive, very clean and comfortable. The only snag was that after using the shower, there was a water leak on the floor but Aji and Ari are more than willing to sort out any arising problems. Aji's wife, Ibu Ari does a wonderful breakfast, a generous bowl of freshly cut fruits and a delicious banana and coconut pancake. Aji is also an artist painter and has done lots of beautiful paintings. Aji Lodge is located in a little lane just off Jalan Sukma which has plenty of little warungs, cafes, restaurants, shops and is a short walking distance from the Yoga Barn. Ubud is a great place, lots to do and see all around. The owners Aji and Ari are really friendly, kind and helpful. I can highly recommend them. Thank you very much Bapak Aji and Ibu Ari!!!
