Make sure you have proof of cancellation as policies are unforgiving

I had a 5 days booked via booking.com - I cancelled the entire Israel trip due to personal reasons but now cannot find a cancellation email from booking,com. I was charged for the full 5 days at $915 and although the hotel resold the room on the 2nd day they refused to give any credit whatsoever. That says something about their policy and lack of accommodation. I followed up with booking.com.

We were surprised on how good this hotel actually was. Good location, great rooms, great breakfast (with a view), and amazing service from the guys in the reception. The location is good with 3 min walk from the Tram that takes you to the main gate to old city.
