My 5 year old daughter and I stayed here to see a concert in Toronto. We arrived around 4 pm to check in and change before heading to the city. Bathroom and bedroom were renovated but the carpet felt grungy. The AC unit was blasting on full but there was no cold air coming out, just normal room temperature air. I assumed they had just turned it on so I didn't question it. That was my big mistake. My daughter and I changed and headed out maybe 30 minutes later. When we returned at 10 pm, the room was not cooled at all. It was hot - early August hot. I took my child with me to the desk where I was told they were sold out, I could not change rooms and they could do nothing about the AC until 11 am the next day - well after I was checking out. I had already unpacked all my things and my daughter was sleeping on my shoulder. I didn't have much choice: wake up my child, pack up everything and take a chance that another hotel had a room, or stay in a hot room. I stayed. When I complained to the desk in the morning, the manager came to the room to verify that the AC was in fact on the cold setting and tried to tell me that the room was simply "not cool enough up to your standards". My standards? No. It wasn't cool at all. The lobby was cool. The room was hot. I was told the manager would look into it. After check out, I was refunded 10%. What a bunch of crock!
There's no way they were unaware of the broken AC in the room they gave me when I checked in. What's worse I had my 5 year old with me during check in! What an unscrupulous establishment to even have that room available. I will never stay here again and will advise anyone to stay away.

Room was fine and clean but this is a dated facility. A bit shabby. Entry was littered with cigarette butts. No plugs for electronics which in this day and age is not acceptable. Breakfast was good. A bit pricey compared to competition. Some good restaurants nearby. This is a busy office area which is handy for business travelers.
