A boutique hotel chain with city hotels around the country, Ace Hotel’s downtown Los Angeles location was opened in 2014. Housed in a building originally built in 1927 for a film studio, the hotel maintains its art deco style. Room selections are based on size, with the Small rooms offering a queen bed. Large Double Queens have two queen beds with Loft rooms reminiscent of an urban loft with a king bed, sofa bed, and a kitchenette. Both styles are best for families, as is the Ace Suite, a 633-square-foot room with a king bed, large sofa bed, and kitchenette with a massive private rooftop terrace affording fantastic views of Los Angeles. All rooms feature free Wi-Fi. The pet-friendly hotel provides guests with free bikes to rent during their stay, as well as a cool pool to enjoy with poolside dining. Many nights, the hotel features live music and entertainment, and is one of the perks of staying with the boutique hotelier. Onsite dining also expands to a grab and go coffee shop and all-day dining at the casual L.A. Chapter, which provides in-room dining, as well.

Absolutely wonderful ! I have had my eye on the Ace hotel for some time. When I saw that Jay Shetty was going be at the theatre I booked. The show was fabulous! The theatre fabulous! The hotel fabulous and the staff is fabulous! I describe the Ace as my “updated L.A. version of the NYC Chelsea Hotel.” The vibe is too cool for school. I love the minimalist theme with the precise amount of uniquely added touches in the rooms to meet all your needs/wants without indulgent excess. It is coyly extra. The staff at the Ace, WOWED, they are happy and it shows, they must be treated well by their management. Brett at Best Girl, Patti, Maddie and Kate, Andrew at theatre, baristas, bellhops, bartenders, valet, housekeeping, facilities and front desk who delighted me with their conversation, assistance and enthusiasm. I extended my stay another day to stay in the feels of it all. This is what hoteling is about - when you don’t want to leave, can’t wait to come back and feel like your leaving friends.

Everyone that worked in the hotel was so friendly--from the man who initially took my luggage, to the front desk people who answered any question that I could think of to the last man who insisted on helping me get my suitcase into the Lyft....Such friendly people. It was so nice to feel like I had some friends in a new city.
