Accra Beach is a resort that offers a convenient location. Near St. Lawrence Gap and only 15-minutes from Barbados’s capital, Bridgetown, there are plenty of sights to see. With its beachfront property, it features one- and two-bedroom suites, along with luxurious penthouses. Its outdoor swimming pool with a rock waterfall will be sure to attract kids of all ages. Snorkeling equipment and boogie boards are available to all guests for their own pleasure. The resort hosts three dining options, including Wytukai, the only Polynesian restaurant on the island. Accra Beach also has an activities department that plans daily tours around the area.

We have sadly just returned home to the UK after spending an amazing week at the Accra Beach Hotel, We have visited the island many times before but this was our first stay at Accra, we booked to stay on a room only basis in a junior island view suite.
I travelled with my partner and 3 children (age 1, 5 and 7) upon arrival we were told that our room wasn’t quite ready but they would allow us to freshen up and leave our belongings in a temporary room until ours was done
We decided to take the children for some food in the restaurant and came back an hour later to reception, we were offered full breakfast for the whole family for the inconvenience which was a lovely gesture of goodwill, we were also told our room was ready and we would be taken along with luggage straight there, they not only offered us the breakfast but upon arriving in our new room realised we have also been upgraded to the penthouse suite with ocean view, we were delighted, spread across 2 floors, 2 bathrooms and a jacuzzi spa. This was a fantastic start to what has been one of our best holidays in Barbados so far!
Breakfast was lovely, lots of variety to choose from and delicious, we ate in all restaurants on site which were beautiful too!
The hotel was clean, staff were very friendly, always happy, the facilities on site were everything we needed
We will be returning in October 2020 with another 5 members of our family, we cannot wait to go back!

3pm check in time actually means “...or anytime thereafter” (so expect to sit in the lobby until 4:30pm without even being offered so much as a glass of water); wifi access is not to be assumed (haven’t had it since I arrived); no one is available on the front desk after 10pm; only 2 of the 5 power outlets in the room work; and, the restaurant had a list almost half the menu long (I’m exaggerating but it was significant) of items that were not available. Simple things make the difference.
