Overview

Located in the center of Donegal Town, this hotel is only minutes away from County Donegal beaches. There are a variety of single, double and triple rooms as well as suites. The Family Rooms, which can accommodate up toe six guests, offer multiple beds, a flat screen television, tea/coffee maker and a shower/tub combinations in the bathroom. Connecting rooms are available. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel so everyone can stay connected while traveling internationally. There is free parking and guests have access to the Leisure Centre, with its swimming pool and kiddie pool at the sister hotel, the Central Hotel located next door. The onsite restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Lovely hotel

Myself and my husband visited the Abbey Hotel for a country music weekend in October. We stayed from Friday to Monday. We were initially allocated a room with a lovely view of a roof! When we subsequently asked to be moved we were allocated a lovely room looking out onto the town square. Breakfast and one evening meal was included in the package. Couldn’t fault the breakfast which had a fairly good range. The evening meal was lovely but we had a bit of a delay being served. I think there was a wedding in the hotel the same day so maybe this contributed to the delay. The room was very clean and was quite large. I’m looking forward to staying again for the next country music weekend later in November.

Excellent stay as always. The hotel never disappoints. Friendly staff, spotless rooms. Perfect location in the city centre. Be back soon.
Only disappointment was the weather, which obviously is out of the control of the hotel.
