The Holiday Inn Oceanfront at Surfside Beach offers a lovely location in Surfside Beach, South Carolina, a short drive from Myrtle Beach. The hotel is situated just steps from the sand and surf. Onsite perks include an outdoor (oceanfront!) pool and hot tub, family-friendly restaurant and pool bar (also overlooking the ocean), live entertainment on select evenings, fitness center and free Wi-Fi. You can easily find water sports rentals near the hotel, too.
The popular hotel completed a $4-million renovation in April, 2018, with updates including newly designed guestrooms. All guestrooms are equipped with mini-fridges and coffeemakers, and many offer balconies overlooking the ocean. Renovations also included the lobby and the outdoor pool and patio area.
Bonus: Kids age 11 and under eat free with the purchase of an adult entree at the onsite restaurant!

Nice enough for a quick trip but wouldn't stay for an extended period. Overall the hotel is older although some renovations have been made. The hotel restaurant offered a decent breakfast. They offered other meals, we just didn't dine there any other time.
The beds were not very comfortable even though the mattresses were newer.

Wife and I spent a long weekend at the Holiday Inn Surfside and had a wonderful, time. The is a older resort but recently has had a complete remodel. Rooms while small are extremely clean and nicely updated. We had a ocean front room to watch some fantastic sunrises from. Easy access to the beach, pool and hot tub on their patio with a gas fire pit.
Staff was extremely friendly, helpful and made check in a breeze. All staff was very polite and helpful.
Tables and chairs on the patio with a bar and restaurant. Drinks from bar were good and the food form the restaurant as well but we only did lunch one day. Short drive to Murrell’s inlet that has fantastic restaurants and great views along the marsh walk.
Great location and we do plan to return again.
