This unique Duluth restaurant in the trending Lincoln Park neighborhood is built into a sturdy, multi-story historic steel foundry that assisted with projects such as the Panama Canal, Empire State Building and Golden Gate Bridge. These days, the coals and heat of a wood-fired oven bakes their Neapolitan flatbreads, pizzas and hand-made Stromboli, pot pies and pasties.
Other northeastern Minnesota specialties include 14-spiced slow-roasted porketta, smoked salmon chowder and a wild rice vegetarian burger. The restaurant expects kids with the Duluth Children’s Museum nearby and a hockey arena next door, plus there’s a giant chess set on the lower level. The kids’ menu includes their pasta and pizza.
