The inns and lodges near Black Hills are some of the best places to find a great meal, and the Alpine Inn is no exception. They specialize in German-style steakhouse food, so for lunch you can try schnitzel, bratwurst, spaetzle, and more (some vegetarian options are available as well). The dinner menu is much more limited, usually serving only two or three entree choices that vary depending on the day. Kids can choose Americanized options or try a spaetzle dish. Note that the restaurant accepts cash and checks only, so don’t expect to pay with plastic.
