Overview
by Liane Starr
Established in 1946 by movie star Roy Rogers as lodging for his fellow western movie cast members, this newly refurbished motel is chock-full of Hollywood history. While Pioneertown will amaze kids with its old West storefronts, they may not love the property’s lack of televisions and a swimming pool.

I keep returning to the Pioneertown Motel because of the stars, peacefulness, simple beauty and amazing people who stay there. I am always welcomed with courtesy and the rooms are spotlessly clean and perfect.
