My husband and I stayed at The River Lee in Cork for one night on our way to Dublin from Dingle. We have had some very nice accommodations on this trip, but none like The River Lee. We both secretly claim to be hotel snobs in many ways and this place exceeded all of our picky standards. We were upgraded to a room on the 5th floor which is their concierge level offering juices, snacks and water all day, 24/7. There were ice makers on the floor, which we have not seen much in Ireland. Ice is not a given when you go to a bar, pub or restaurant. You must ask for it. The staff was very friendly and helped by providing many options for dinner. We ended up at the Market Place for a great meal and a good time with the bartenders. We love sitting at the bar and getting to know the staff. Always a great way to meet people. After dinner we had a nightcap in the lobby bar downstairs in the hotel. We hated to leave the next day and wished we had planned an extra day in Cork. You must stop in at The River Lee if you have plans to be in Cork.

We stayed in the hotel for the jazz it was brilliant. A big thank you to all the the staff especially paul and oisin the chefs and all the kitchen and dinning room staff the food was amazing. The bar staff especially paul the bar man who is so nice to everyone. The housekeeping and front of house staff cant praise all of ye enough thanks for a great weekend.
