We stayed at this hotel for two nights. From start to finish it was a disaster. Our room was freezing and had broken tiles on the bathroom floor and there was an odour in the hallways which was vile. I have never seen such poorly presented staff that were over casual with jewellery untidy hair and unshaven staff wearing runners. The staff seem to gather in groups everywhere. We went to the pool which was cold and there were 5 staff at the desk area but no lifeguard. We ate breakfast in Rocks restaurant and staff were even using their phones in front of guests and chatting to each other. We met friends for a drink in the main front bar before eating. The staff here were also poorly presented, not in the slightest bit interested in interacting with customers. We got some dirty glasses in our round and it took us 10 minutes to get them changed. The area was very untidy with debris on the floor and it was more like being in a food court in a mall than in a hotel. We decided not to eat here as it just was not up to standard so we went to douglas village for dinner. We returned to the hotel after midnight and the front bar that doubles as a late bar was worse than when we left it 4 hours before. It was cold dirty and the counters were not wiped down. Next day after checkout we went for a sandwich in the front bar while we waited for friends to pick us up and it was no different than the evening before several staff chatting at the counter with phones out and ignoring guests. The server forgot to order our sandwich and had to rush it as we were under pressure for our lift so we were not charged due to the error. We would certainly not stay in this hotel again, it is just too different to what they sell on their website. I could overlook a few minor faults but this hotel just lacks the very basic things you would expect during a stay and it seems to be a problem in many areas. I ordinarily do not post reviews but I think it really is important that people know what they are paying for before they book this venue.

Lovely hotel, lovely staff, lovely food, clean and tidy. Two things though, it needed some heat in the corridors for the time of year and also a bottle of water beside the bed would be normal in a 4 star hotel. Excellent otherwise.
