In the heart of Taipei’s Central Business District and the happening Xinyi district, this W outpost has all the style and panache you’d expect from the international luxury chain. There are city and mountain views from most rooms and suites. And the Kitchen Table Restaurant, onsite, is a favorite for family-style dining. Make time each day for a refreshing dip with the gang in the hotel’s sparkling rooftop pool.

The hotel location is great and easy to find. I took the (捷运) to the Taipei Railway Station and transferred to taipei Metro the Bannan or Blue line (code BL) to Taipei City Hall. The hotel is just a few steps away right in the corner.
You will see several big shopping malls and clubs around the hotel. Restaurants, Bookstores, Banks, Business Buildings are all in walking distance range. This hotel stands in the center of the high end community of taipei.
I was offer the corner room on 17th floor. To be honest, I didn't expect the view, the size and the decoration of of the room far beyond my expectation.
Though it costs about 10000NT$ a night, I think it well worth the price since the service of every staff in this W is top notch among same level Marriot managed hotels. Every needs were seriously taken care of. The staff was very attentive and always in natural smile. I enjoyed my two nights stay here very much.
Note: The Taxi fare to Taoyuan International Airport costs around 1300-1500 NT$. Taxi will save you a lot of time to the airport because it really took me a lot of effort to find to way to Bannan Line Taipei railway station and I didn't want to do that again on my way back.

We enjoyed our afternoon tea at the yen bar.
Food was quirky and tasty and spectacular cocktails with tea elements.
But there were few things I’d like to suggest.
Service
When we were there, we were the only group of customers, when the staff brought the tea set there were no introduction what so ever, I mean they looked great but come on, at least some brief introduction?
Perhaps, the staff should focus more on customer rather than gathering at the entrance and chatting away.
Tea pot and clean issue
The metal tea pot ? (Serious for afternoon tea ?) and please refer to the photo with the tea pot lid.
We didn’t drink the tea at all because of the clean issue of the tea pot.
Over all, great food and drinks but no service and dirty tea pots.
