Overview

A classic Taipei hotel was remodeled and emerged anew as the Dandy Hotel, a sweet spot to stay in the city’s Zhongshen district. The exterior is white, clean lined and rather Scandinavian in appearance. But inside, rooms are decorated with bright murals and most have balconies. A metro station is just a five-minute walk away, making it easy to hop around town.

Feels like home whenever I stay in Dandy, the staff always so friendly and helpful. The room is clean and comfortable. I am glad Dandy assigned my favourite room on the top floor as requested. Breakfast is delicious always. However, the hardware (fixtures) of the hotel is showing signs of ageing. I hope the management will do some major refurbishment soon, so as to keep up with the excellent software (staff).

Overall this place is clean and comfortable. Warm color co-ordination and modern furniture arrangement made me feel welcome. A variety of Chinese and western food are available for breakfast; plus the menu changed daily. Convenient amenities include the laundry facility and computer equipment are free to use . Last, the multilingual (fluent in English, Japanese and Chinese) staff were very polite and helpful. Highly recommend for anyone who comes for business and/or leisure in Taipei.
