Overview

Oaks Calypso Plaza Resort based at Coolangatta on Queensland’s Gold Coast is a family-friendly hotel located within a stone’s throw of both the airport and the beach. The four-star hotel offers laidback apartments, many of which have balconies looking out through trees to the ocean.

There is a lagoon-style pool at the hotel with plenty of places for parents to recline and watch their children splash around. There are also waterslides and a game room to keep kids entertained. For adults, there is a fitness center and a spa. Accommodations available are either one or two bedrooms and there is extra bedding available for children. There is free parking for guests, but there is a charge for Wi-Fi after 30 minutes of use.

WARNING - NO POOL and NO SPA

Upon arrival we discovered no pool or spa was operating - our reason for choosing this hotel! No apology or refund was given. All photographs, lists of ammenities etc state there is a pool and spa. Then we were given a street facing room although I paid extra for a premium pool view. Receptionist said she would see what she could do and call my room - there was NO call. Otherwise nice room and friendly staff.

Good service, too old sofa

For a family of 6, the sofa bed is not good as a bed for 2 adults. The service is very good in all ways,
We has a member got sick and need an ambulance. The gentleman behind the desk did a a lot of help so that our member was sent to hospital on time.
