The only restaurant in Alta operated independently from a lodge, the Shallow Shaft is recognized for its extensive wine list. Although there is no printed children’s menu, the kitchen is extremely accommodating to children’s interests. They will work with you in advance or on the spot to create something that will keep your kids happy. Shallow Shaft is open December through April and serves a variety of flavors, such as seafood, steak, burgers and salads. Pizza is also available for take-out only.
