Actually I stayed at Intercontinental Thalasso where they write (on the welcome paper) ‘be aware of wild dogs’! If I knew that before I would have stayed at Sofitel where I went for a lunch to visit some friends. I saw their devotion to changing the crazy situation of the poor dogs on the streets of the island! Well-kept hotel in a fantastic location taking care of animals: what else?
Looking forward to going back to Bora Bora to stay at Sofitel and to see the dogs’ situation changed!!

Its a 2 part review, we stayed here for 4 nights.

1st - beautiful resort, great views, fish, beach, water and bungalows are great. Service other than restaurant is perfect!

2nd - upon arrival, they do a direct sales pitch for a romantic dinner, which is not cheap and it was very bad, food unremarkable, strange service, odd timings. Also we ordered the same 2 dishes from the bar, on different days and got different results. Give 3 stars only because i don't get why a 5 star hotel needs to push that romantic dinner onto to its guests, when the night costs much more than that dinner. If you do push the dinner then make sure its 5 star quality. Felt like a major ripoff.

Everything else was good.
