If your family is crazy for snorkeling and scuba diving, head to this wonderful resort set inside a national park on Bali’s northwest coast. The resort’s boats and onsite diving shop can take you to nearby reefs for snorkeling tours. And the beach villas, just steps from the water’s edge, have beautiful outdoor bathrooms with soaking tubs surrounded by greenery.

We were recommended by a friend to this resort, and was pleasantly delighted by the service and top-notch cusine offered. We stayed at the beach villa, which offers sea view from room itself from a private beach. The lady was initially hesitant about the open-air toilet of the room, but eventually got used to it. The kayaking and snorkelling are a must-try if you like seaside activites, as the waters are clear and teeming with marine life, and clear of debris and litter compared to many other beaches in Indonesian.

As we were celebrating our anniversary on our recent trip to Bali we decided to visit here and have a romantic sunset Bar-be-cue dinner which cost £170. On previous trips we thought about staying here but on reflection I am pleased that we haven't. I booked this before leaving the UK and had to pay a 25% deposit. Access to the resort is via a very bumpy and mostly unmade road. First you arrive at The Tower where you are given a signature cocktail which was very nice. The views are stunning but on the day we went it was very windy which made sitting upstairs a little unpleasant. After the cocktail we were driven by buggy to the restaurant which is about 2KM away. The views over the mangrove and the beach are were very good and we saw both Herons and Kingfishers. The dinner itself was very pleasant with a private table on a boardwalk overlooking the bay. Our server and waiter were very friendly but the food was a bit of a let down, with some of the meat being rather chewy and not overly hot. Not a bad experience but for what we paid, we expected more
