Our first problem was trying to locate the hotel. We walked up and down the street asking other hotels for help. We finally found the hotel which he no sign. The reception desk was hidden down the edge of a tattoo shop.
We were taken to our room with construction still on going. We then got taken up a set of stairs with wires trailing across them going down an open hole. At this point I was thinking maybe we shouldn’t have come in when we saw the reception. However, we’re not normally too fussy and don’t mind cheaper places as long as there clean.
This was a mistake we entered the room and straight away we wanted to leave. The first thing we noticed was the bed, which had stains all over and smelt as if it hadn’t been cleaned just remade. The floor under the bed was dirty and looked as if mould was starting to form. Damp on the walls, broken door out to the balcony, broken socket, dirty bathroom and worst of all the toilet didn’t flush.
We then knew we couldn’t stay here for three nights. We asked the girl who checked us in for a refund back on our card as we paid when we arrived. She was very polite and said she would go ask her manger to do it. However, he wasn’t as polite and told us he would bring us our money tomorrow. After a long battle we finally got most our money back.
