Upon checking in we thought we were getting a king-sized bed. When arriving to the room we called to ask why we got two double beds. The staff was asking us to prove we booked a king-sized bed. I forwarded them the confirmation, but since it was booked through hotels.com, the made us feel guilty indicating we could have been confirmed to receive a kind-sized bed had we booked directly through their website.

On our second night, there was a reception directly above us. We switched rooms due to the noise level.

On the third evening, we received a call indicating that the staff was unaware that we were staying there and asked us to move rooms again due to construction the following morning.

Overall, the hotel had nice views. But, good luck getting the room you request.

Wouldn’t recommend this hotel to friends and family.

I am here to tell you that the noise at this hotel in late September when we stayed was horiffic....There was construction jackhammering 7 days a week where you couldn't even talk over breakfast because you couldn't hear the other person. I had specifically called and asked about the noise and they said it was noisy now and then. So we booked 5 nights. It was torture all day long 9am - 6pm construction, the freeway and train were there as well. On the deck couldn't even hear the waves. So after leaving I was so upset at wasting our money and time I called the Manager. I explained the situation and he was the BEST... He took care of us and was very professional and friendly. I will stay again after May 2020 as that is when the construction will be complete. The facility was a dream directly on the ocean and fire pits and restaurant service. And a great walking area. The unit we had was spectacular. Little living room area, computer area, kitchen area, bedroom area and beautiful bathroom. And 2 balconies. I have never seen a hotel quite as clean as this Crowne Plaza as well. So I highly recommend you stay here after construction and ask for the side facing the pier for less freeway noise. And Dan my hat off to you for the BEST customer service..... We will return.....
