We stayed in the orange villa for 7 nights. You cannot fault this gorgeous villa in terms of space with everything you could possibly need.
The pool is huge with a beautiful grassed area & lots of places to relax.
The staff were amazing & nothing was too much trouble. It is also in a perfect location to all the fantastic restaurants on offer.
Sadly I do have to make future travelers aware & the downside of staying in both orange & green villa. When we arrived there was a wedding in the temple which is directly next door to orange villa. We arrived in late & was thankful the wedding was almost over but there were people, bikes & cars everywhere & our villa was blocked. We finally got in & was happy that I had missed most of the noise.
The next day was quieter as they were just packing up, but the following day again people & bikes everywhere. I was advised by Chimera staff there was another wedding at the end of the week with 1200 people attending.
For the next 4 days there were people setting up for this huge event. The driveway into our villa was always blocked with people & bikes & companies setting up decorations, canopies, tables, chairs & the stage. I found the most annoying was the stage it was right outside our villa sitting in front of the wall of the second bedroom. The sound system & speakers were 3 steps out the front of our door.
Chimera warned us there would be 1200 people attending the wedding & it would start at 7am & finish around 2am the next morning. I was so upset as I just wanted peace & quiet.
They offered to pay for a driver for the day & night to keep us away from the villa. We took up the offer as there was no other way of escaping the noise. They also cooked a bbq lunch for us on our last day which was lovely.
When we arrived home at 10pm the wedding was in full swing. We had to enter our villa via their 4 bedroom villa at the back as we couldn't get through to our villa. There were hundreds of people directly outside our villa & very loud music until early hours of the morning. Our daughter suffered the worst as her bedroom was right on the noise. She had to sleep in our bedroom on the lounge for the night as she was also scared as there were allot of men around all smoking outside her bedroom.
The next day there were people still around packing up & in general their temple was being used all the time which you could hear.
They also have 2 roosters that don't stop all day & early morning. That was the least of my concern after the weddings we had to go through.
Chimera said they have no control of what happens in the temple as they are privately owned & they apologized about the noise & inconvenience it caused. They also said this has never happened before. I didn't read any bad reviews about weddings / roosters & noise etc that is why we chose to stay here.
It is such a shame as it did ruin our holiday as I was stressed about the noise & having so people always around the entire time & my young daughter was upset.
We unfortunately cannot come back as they cannot guarantee nor control what goes on in the temple next door which is really sad for them as their villas are stunning.
If you were staying in their 4 bedroom villa you would have no problem with noise & there is a back door out onto the side street which is very convenient.
My advice before booking is to check if there are any weddings / parties / christenings etc before you stay there & get rid of the roosters....
