Average hotel - nothing fancy

Inadequate shade in outdoor areas. Current umbrella’s aren’t big enough & an odd shape & don’t provide enough shade ... guests desperate for a place to relax outdoors, but not get burnt. I read in previous reviews they are planning on purchasing a few more umbrella’s... but a complete overhaul of their outdoor areas are required.

Recommend the hotel remove the silly wooden border around the beds in the guest rooms. These are a trip hazard & take up precious space in the room.

Finally, staff are slow. Took an incredibly long time to check in. The receptionist wasn’t paying attention, served other people, answered the phone... the team had trouble communicating... and often spoke too quietly so it was very hard to hear them. Concierge was “on break” when we needed currency exchange & no one else could assist us for a 2 hour period. Amazing that no one else (at least 4 other people in the reception area,) were trained to assist. Staff were very polite, but more often that not, unhelpful.

We recently stayed here and found it to be very good. The only reason I can't give an excellent is the fact that our room was next door to the rooms that were being renovated
To there credit they didnt start until 10 am and finished at 5pm.
Our room was a king with a Jacuzzi on the balcony and on the 6th floor. Could not fault the room. Great view of beach, good ac, big comfy bed , large shower.
The breakfast was great with the best views from the roof top
I would like to make mention of winda on reception
She was pleasant and always smiled and said hello.
The buggy to the main street is a very good service.
The only negative, is that there needs to be more shade around pool.
