When I first got to the hotel, it felt really welcoming. The service was awesome and every staff member was very welcoming and friendly. Love the welcoming drink as well. When they walked me to my room, I felt like I was going into a museum because it was very big and quite in the hallway. This hotel is about a 30 min ride to the airport, but is a bit far from Ubud or the central location. It walking distance to a lot of restaurants and super market. The best restaurant I think in the area is a place called Bumbu bali which is about 15 min walk from hotel. The hotel is big and close to a lot of water sport activities. You can use the pool right across the street and that's where you can walk by the beach. Don't expect to swim there since there are a lot of boats stationed there for tourist activities. There is another pool on the second floor as well which is more private. The gym was a bit small, but it was divided into 3 floors per the type of equipment you need to use.
The room was very nice and comfortable. I had a king size bed which was really 2 twin bed push together as one king bed. There was an outdoor space as well, but there was no view to it. It almost felt like your own private garden. I thought I can leave my clothes out to dry, but it didn't dry at all out there. The bathroom was very spacious. It's great for couples since they have a see through glass to the bathroom tub, but there are shades if needed. It's interesting how they only had one sliding door to be used for both bathroom and shower. I guess they only expect you to use one at a time. There is a safe in the room and a little foyer area for clothes. The fridge didn't work to well so I don't recommend storing anything that needs the freezer. Although this is far from the central area, I still recommend this hotel. I felt really safe in the area and it was a nice escape from the tourist trap.
This place is close to the culture park where you can see the big statue.
