I booked 5 nites at the Alam Bali and requested two adjacent rooms: one room as a double and the other with twin beds (2 adults and 2 young teenaged kids) and both rooms with mini fridges. I received a confirmation this was all good but was not provided when we arrived at the hotel at mid nite. The rooms were adjacent but that was it. When I asked about the bedding configuration I was shown a twin room around the corner and away from the other rooms but it wasn’t made up and not really suitable for our kids.
One of the rooms was icy cool with the AC cranked - the other was hot and breathless that the AC struggled to cool once I turned it on.
We had a very nice breakfast prepared by the staff that first morning and then headed out to find somewhere else to stay. We checked out an hour later. I reckon this place would be fine for the twenty-somethings travellers.
I would have cancelled my booking well before getting there if they confirmed that they weren’t able to fulfill my requests.
