In September we were delighted to stay in a Sofitel suite, complete with its own plunge pool. Our room was stunning! The room itself was very, very large and divided into different zones for living and eating, sleeping, dressing and showering/bathing. A small lounge area led us out to a courtyard complete with a daybed facing the plunge pool and a beautiful garden area. Literally, I cannot fault the room, it's probably one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in. The staff at the Sofitel were so kind and always greeted us with friendly smiles, nothing was too much trouble. The gentleman that serviced our room was amazing, we loved all the towel animals! Our butlers were very accomodating. The resort, it's pools, restaurants and location - all truly amazing - it's a Bali paradise. The club is perfect for a glass of Indonesian sparkling at 5.00 pm before you wander off to enjoy dinner at one of the Sofitels lovely, high quality restaurants. And it would have been a perfect holiday except for the unfortunate loud music that flooded our room each night over the weekend. The only thing that drowned out the noise was our noise cancelling headphones. Our room faced the bar/area where the very loud techno music was playing, so if you decided to stay at the Sofitel, ask for a room well away from the beach area or don't stay over the weekend where they have large public functions. I do acknowledge the Sofitel did try to appease the noise concerns by moving us to another suite (which was equally noisy) and then finally offering us a complimentary dinner. It wasn't for all the noise, I would have given this resort an excellent.

The resort is impressive with beautiful decor, gardens, private beach, large pool with bar, beach club and 3 restaurants. The rooms are tastefully fitted out with great service.
We enjoyed our stay however would avoid dining at the Kheezeen buffet. Food Quality not good. The other resort restaurants recommended...
