We stayed here for 5 nights (should have been 6) and have to say it’s more like Khayangan BAD Dreams Villas...
Apologies this is a long one as unfortunately there is so much is wrong with this place.
Firstly the kitchen and living area are open plan and outside, and the two bedrooms are separate (have their own entrances and bathrooms) and do not connect. So if you are a family with small children you may want to rethink staying there. I didn’t feel comfortable having my kids sleeping separately so my husband and I had a room each and shared with the kids. They have no baby high chairs so for safety purposes we kept our little one in her buggy most of the time as we didn’t want her crawling around outside and possibly falling into the pool or the surrounding concrete. Plus the floor in the kitchen/living area was always dirty.
“Breakfast” is a special “treat” which is cooked for you in your villas. In theory it is a lovely idea but not executed terribly well. They only have American and Indonesian. “American” consisted of a sad looking sausage, with some bacon and eggs with a strategically placed piece of cucumber and tomatoes. I’m not American and even I know it’s not an American breakfast. Plus even though we said we didn’t want any meat we ended up with a plate of it. I had explained the night before that we didn’t eat meat, we were veggies, and we wanted to know what else they could offer. I specifically explained that we’d like potatoes, tomatoes, mushrooms and what we got we’re eggs, cold chips (!!) one slice of cucumber, & one slice of tomato! They were not even able to provide us with cereal and milk.

The staff were very persistent with providing us with breakfast even when we hadn’t requested it and didn’t want it. We got phone call after phone call about breakfast early in the morning - so there was no chance of any lie ins.

The showers and toilets are outside and need a huge amount of TLC. One of our toilets flooded & subsequently overflowed. We had cold water and on one occasion the water completely went off mid-shower.
A/C unit in our villa (Villa 1) needs upgrading. Hardly did the job of keeping us cool during the hot nights.
WiFi was useless - slow and constantly kept cutting out.
The pool was dirty, and looked like it’d never been cleaned. So obviously we didn’t go in it.
We returned to the hotel early on one occasion and our room was being “cleaned”. I made the mistake of seeing the bed & pillows. Oh my god I’ve never seen something so disgusting - it was covered with yellow stains which made me feel so ill. I really did not want to sleep there after that.
This villa was beyond disappointing, we ended up cutting short our stay and moving elsewhere. Don’t stay here. Spend your hard earned money somewhere nicer, and spend a little bit more for proper luxury. I am sure they are trying hard, but SO much work and updating needs to be done here in order to make it a DREAMS villa.

We aren’t normally a couple to write reviews about places however, we felt in this case we needed to write an honest review about Khayanghan Dream Villas. We had picked this accommodation as from reviews and photos it looked like a lovely 1 bedroom private villa to spend a week near Canggu.
The villa was a disappointment, the photos published are very outdated and sadly, the place appears to have been neglected over the years and the paintwork, flooring and general upkeep was lacking especially in the bedroom and bathroom areas.
Bathroom - on a whole this was a nice area, the outdoor shower is really nice. However; the area around the bath was in a bad state with cracked tiles, we found on arrival a load of dead ants around the top of the bath that hadn’t been cleaned away.
Bedroom - bedding had holes in it, towels were not white, pool towels were changed daily but had many stains on them and the mosquito net had not been changed in some time as there were dead spiders and bugs above the head area (this isn’t an exaggeration).
Outdoor areas- these were as pictured and we couldn’t complain about these; lovely spacious relaxing and dining area and a nice sized pool with comfy sun loungers.
Location - this was good whilst this isn’t amongst the hustle and bustle of Canguu the staff would organise transport to and from local areas for free; you do have to request this about 1-2 hours in advance. If they didn’t have a driver they would organise for a local cab driver to take you to your destination. There are a few local restaurants a short walk away which we would recommend - they aren’t a long walk away as others have described.
They offer breakfast which is “cooked” in the villas by the staff which is a really lovely touch, however the quality of the food was very poor, we only had this once in our week stay - we found an amazing breakfast place a 5 minute walk away.
The staff were very friendly and always wanted to help where they could, providing 24/7 service.
These villas have so much potential if they were given a bit more TLC. We by no means want this to be a negative review as there were some lovely parts of Khayangan - we just wanted to leave an honest review so others are aware when booking.
