I have stayed at Red Roof Inns before but never had as horrible an experience at ANY hotel as this one. When I first arrived around 5 p.m. or so, the first thing I noticed was that there were dirty socks on the floor of the room in plain site. That immediately suggested the room had not been cleaned. However, I was tired from driving and had little time before I needed to leave the room for an appointment. As I was bringing my bags in the room, my child sat on one of the beds and noticed crumbs. I inspected both beds to find that there were indeed crumbson one bed and the linens of the other bed were outright filthy. I went to the front office and requested new linens. As my time was limited at that point, I put that on the back burner for the moment, turned on the air conditioner so the room would be cool upon my return, and left for my appointment. Upon returning to my room late that night, the room was not cool at all. The air conditioner was broken. At that point, I went to the front office and informed them of yet another problem. They decided to switch me to another room right next door. Within seconds of me walking away, an employee followed me out to my room and stood there in the doorway watching me exchange my things from one room to the other. Besides the fact that it was very creepy and intrusive and uncomfortable for myself and my children, the man was dressed in boxer shorts underware and a tank top. I could not believe this employee or manager was standing there half dressed in front of us, surveilling our every move. Fortunately, the air conditioner worked in the second room. However, only three buttons worked on the microwave. The bath tub had pubic hairs in it. The carpet was so filthy that it turned our feet black after walking bare foot on it. There were dead roaches in the drawers where we were to put our clothes. There was a used condom beside one of the beds. There was no toilet paper. And when I went to get more toilet paper, there that man was in his underwear. The linens were still dirty. I had to go purchase my own sheets and pillow cases fromWalmart. It was too late for me to find another hotel on short notice. On two occasions, men approached me in the parking lot to sell drugs. Both the trash can and the ice bucket were full of mold and gunk in the room. It smelled like someone was cooking drugs in the room next door. Needless to say, the room and the treatment was completely unacceptable. This location really gave Red Roof Inn a bad name for me.

These rooms are located outside.
First room they provided had a oder of insect repellent which can be smelled even on the sheets. The smoke detector was hanging off the wall.
In addition I found dead roaches by the bed.
Second room there was a noticed to chain the door for “added security”.
It appeared that people are staying long term not as guest short term.
There was Walmart shopping carts all around. When I asked about this the lady at the front desk said the cleaners use the carts for laundry and to take out trash.
As a Paramedic that is familiar with the type of people who live out of hotels. It breeds crime and drugs.
I felt unsafe with people hanging around outside their doors.
I called a Booking.com both Red Roof Hotel and Booking.com refuse to give me a refund. After driving 10 hours straight.
The reception person was rude and all she did was eye roll me!
Keep as far away as possible!
They charged me $87.00 for a night.
