We booked this hotel for an Auburn game weekend. It appeared that there were only a few rooms left. The parking lot was almost empty when we arrived. I decided to check the booking site again. The price had dropped from $300 a night to $200. Which is way, way overpriced! The hotel was willing to give me the lower price for the second night but because I booked through a third party I couldn’t get the reduced price. So we paid $300 a night for a $50 a night room. In fairness the night attendant tried to help me get the lower price.
The hotel is very very run down. It was dirty, the shower leaked, the towels were dingy, the ac kicked on and off every 10 minutes or so making a lot of noise, the carpet was sticky, the breakfast not appealing, cold gray potatoes, and brownish OJ, and if that wasn’t bad enough there was no cleaning service to the room.
They did have a shuttle service to the game for $5 a person each way, the shuttle was very clean and the driver was very pleasant. That was the best part. We will never stay there again!! We’ve stayed at several places in Auburn and this is the absolute worst.
