Second time at the docklands, great access to the 02, by hopping on the emirates cable car - this means serious views on morning and evening commutes. Like the dockland because of the morning jogs which are scenic around the docklands. If you want the best location to the crystal and convention center, this is the hotel. Rooms great, room service great, service great. Highly recommend

For a trip to the 02 with overnight stay the location is perfect. One stop on the jubilee line, or take the cable car.
Checking in was laborious, despite there being 3 people on reception the time it took to check-in 5 people was painful. The lady who did have the pleasure was polite and professional, with my upgrade ready and waiting. Any questions I might of had she answered as part of her introduction to the hotel.
My room was large, clean, and well maintained. Though the lifts to get to it were so very slow. In fact the hotel in general was clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. There was plenty of lighting, and all the amenities one could need for an overnighter.
The gym was unfortunately disappointing, and a let down really. The equipment was basic in a room that is not suitable for people working out. Another let down is that this Crowne Plaza has no Exec lounge. In such cases alternatives should be made, like free breakfast.
For a single night stay the hotel will meet the needs of most. If however you want something slightly more pleasurable maybe look elsewhere.
